Freedom of (and from) religion is a foundational part of our democracy.

I respect faith. America is a land of many varied beliefs. Everyone should be free to practice their religion without imposing their religious beliefs on others

Too many quasi-religious laws like abortion bans, which infringe on individual choice, come from non-religious people who abuse the beliefs of the faithful to foment fear, despite being almost as un-religious as I am.

Religious beliefs are deeply personal. Government has no place in faith, nor we in each other’s. We must retain the right to practice and believe ( or not ) as we see fit without imposing on others.
