We’re all in this together

More unites us than divides us

Everything we have comes from the collective efforts of everyone who has come before us.

We each have a duty and responsibility to pay that forward and build something better for ourselves and those who come after us.

Although we’ll never agree on everything, there are so many things we share. Too many people for too long have selfishly sown division and poured acid on our collective foundations to enrich and empower themselves at the expense of everyone else.

「 You would even be better off, running as a Democrat, who is a moderate who cares what the party thinks…」

Sure.. I’d also be better off running as a 「 moderate 」 independent but I’m not a moderate.. or / at least, I’m not what people consider to be 「 moderate 」 today. It is precisely that sort of「 pragmatism 」that has shifted the Overton window so far to the right that people like Biden are considered to be left of centre despite having policies that are to the right of Nixon and Reagan.

I have strong principles and values and am not going to lie to you about who I am, what I believe, or what I stand for.

Why would I bother running if I wanted to run on a platform of「 vote for me for the status quo 」‽ If I wanted or was happy with that, I wouldn’t bother because more of the same is just what will happen anyway and there are so many examples of people who tried to play that game only to become subsumed by and integrated into the system.

「 if you were actually serious about wanting to win, and not proving a point, you’d run as an independent, who is a moderate, or is a democrat, who is a moderate willing to work with Republicans to try to fix schools and create jobs」

Funny thing - I am absolutely willing to work with Republicans and Democrats to get things done. I would literally have to if elected because I’ll need some combination of them to vote with me to get anything done.

Gilbert is the second safest city in the nation. Safety comes from things like education, financial stability, and community. There is an enormous amount of evidence that it does not come from law enforcement. They don’t prevent crime and for the most part they don’t solve it. My ex-wife and I had our stolen and they literally laughed at us when we asked about them getting it back.

Consistently across jurisdictions less than 5% of what police do has anything at all to do with violent crime and even the bulk of that comes well after the crime takes place. Almost everything they do does not require heavily armed paramilitary soldiers in body armour. We only need a tiny fraction of the force we currently have.

Having lots of cops actively hurts property values too.

If you want a safe community, with high property values don’t pour unlimited amounts of money into law enforcement - fund schools. No investment more consistently and reliably pays back more in time, makes communities safer, or increases property values more.

Having the best schools attracts the best people. As an entrepreneur who has recruited and hired people from across the country I assure you that educated people who have or are planning families do not want to move to places with under-funded and under-staffed schools.

It is perverse that somehow「 defund the police 」has become taboo while「 defund the schools 」has been the standard and accepted policy of Arizona for decades.

If you want to fund the police - vote for Joe Biden.

If you want to invest in our future and fund the schools, vote for me.

I will tell you where I stand and represent you where you do.
